FRONT

My personal biography: Pavel Popov (ZOOM), the head of trance-project FRONT. Was born (3/3/1974) in a small small town Berdsk about Novosibirsk in the center of Siberia, Russia. Has left school and medical college (1991.) At present it is single, but I have the son (Jury, 1996). I am fond tourism, yoga, meditation and east cookery. As seriously I study history of the East, indigenous population of America, psychology, geography and other natural sciences. My musical biography: In the age of three years has heard Boney M and Cerrone (these records my father has secretly got, listened also secretly as in the USSR all western was forbidden) … And after that has understood, than I shall be engaged in the life. 1990 – has organized the first group « All or anything » - we played in discos in style dance and electro. 1992 - has been invited in known Russian group « Culture bunker » as the keyboard player and programmer. The group played ethno-fate with elements east music, founding the outlook on индуистской philosophies. Some albums have been written down, one of them has left in the USA in Los Angeles on Venture Beyond Records (Culture Bunker “ Kalka the Warrior “ 1994). 1993 – I have taken to myself pseudonym ZOOM and started to write down music in style ambient and new age. During the period with 1993 for 2004 as ZOOM I have written down 12 albums of such music. Some of them are submitted on site www.zoom.clublife.ru . All this time I worked as the sound producer in different sound recording studios of Russia. As worked as the composer and the arranger for different Russian projects. As sometimes worked in different clubs as DJ. Just to me for this time also became close such styles of music as trance, techno, house, acid and chillout and similar … 2003 – I have made tourist trip to Ibiza in club Amnesia … … … no comments 2004 – under impression of trip and after judgement of the gone way me the decision to create “FRONT” – trance project was accepted. Some performances in different Russian cities only have strengthened my opinion that FRONT to live, develop and experiment. For the Russian audience I do compositions in Russian in style vocal trance (album FRONT “ Light!!! “ 2003). Also I write down instrumental trance a material, I do a lot of different remixes and tributes. Integral album FRONT was ready to the end of 2004 “ Second breathe ” … From the beginning of 2005 there is a record of new album FRONT “ Wide Open Heavens ” – some compositions already completely are ready and while anywhere are not submitted yet … The additional information: I am the hot admirer “ Depeche Mode ” is simply GODS … As I think that one of the best representatives of modern European music Modern Talking, Sandra\Michael Cretu\Enigma, Paul McCartney, George Michael. Best of representatives of a trance-stage I think Tiesto, ATB, Blank and Jones, Astral Projection, Kai Tracid, Juno Reactor and perhaps Scooter.
