Firestorm

Firestorm are Hugh Tolland and Kevin Coll. They met in high school and discovered that they had a similar love for dance music. After listening to mix albums such as the mighty Trance Nation and Euphoria series in 1999, they both decided to buy themselves a set of turntables and took up DJing as a hobby.

 

By 2002, they turned their attention to the production side of things, and after being introduced to Propellerheads Reason in college where they both studied Music and Audio Production, decided to purchase a copy and begin producing music.

 

 

2006 started with a bang for Firestorm with tracks released on labels such as Dark Noize Recordings, Alter Ego’s sub label Innov8, Total Digital and Aurora. With further releses due to be released soon on labels such as Monster Tunes, Resonate Records, Amon Vision and the mighty Fenology.

 

Recently on the Djing front they have played alongside the likes of Airbase, Mark Sherry, Montana and Kuffdam to name a few, at nights such as Code, Infusion, Logic and the much respected Refresh.

 

 

Firestorm also host their own radio show called “Stormin’” on ETN.FM, which takes place bi-weekly, every second and fourth Friday of the month. With regular guest mixes and an energetic sound, Stormin’ provides the very best in trance music and a great start to the weekend.

 

 

With both production and djing looking up, 2006 looks set to be a stormer for the lads.
