Detox Records
Detox Records was built upon the ashes of pioneering 90-ies outfits Go Bang! & ESP and started out in the fall of 2002 with the first Innergy record ‘Comet Crashtest’that went down like a storm. Catering to the hard post-millenium crowd, Detox produces a unique sound of its own that attracts the attention of the harder DJs around the world playing different styles to different crowds, from Hard Trance and Techno to Hardstyle. The new generation of hard DJs from the UK and magazines like Mixmag, labeled Detox’s music as TECH TRANCE and without doubt the energy of Techno and the spaced-out breaks and climaxes of Trance, topped-off with a slice of Electro and the driving energy of Progressive are important ingredients in the final Detox blend.
Leading DJs worldwide that have embraced the Detox sound include:Sander van Doorn, Yoji Biomehanika, Eddie Halliwell, Darren Tate, Judge Jules, Guffy, Tom Harding, Graham Gold, Ferry Corsten, Anne Savage, Armin van Buuren, Marco V, Alex Kidd, Mark Sherry & many more.
Marzz – Orbiter (TOX 003) was an essential record, a record that made clear what Detox was all about and showed a little piece of what we could expect in the future. The track's scorching fusion of progressive, techno and trance blew everyone out of the water and was caned by everyone from Eddie Halliwell to Steve Lawler.
MIXMAG QUOTE ON TOX 009 :
...its been on the cards since release one and nine tracks later, Detox finally hit the top spot. A truly storming piece of tough, techy intelligence that should see the label crash land in the UK at last.
A superb collaboration with UK’s Tom Harding sees Marzz back on the controls after twelve months. Its been too long we say!....
Marzz – Helion Prime/Time to Space (TOX 010) Eighteen months after the release of the world-conquering ‘Orbiter’, Marzz returns with a double shot of tech trance magic. ‘Helion Prime’ is a slamming percussive techno gem, which has been causing worldwide dancefloor destruction since its release. On the flip ‘Time to space’ is Marzz at his trademark genre-hopping best. Growling organic basslines, stomping kicks and lashings of fine techno percussion, entrench this track as easily one of the Dutchman's best.
2007 will see incredible new productions from Marzz, Mark Sherry, Gleave, Julius Geluk and hot newcomer Joey V.
