Following the hugely successful inaugural release "Challenged"; TCP Recordings pick up from where they left off with ‘Introvex’, an absolutely massive techno crossover release. One of the biggest DJ’s/producers in dance music right now - Valentino Kanzyani, has been drafted in on remix duties and the results are awesome!
Kanzyani’s remix takes the stunning original mix and adds extra percussion loops to incredible effect. The main bass line riff is subtly dropped into an already pulsating track, whilst the vocal is darkened up and re-programmed. The end result is more energy for even greater clout on the dance floor.
On the B-Side are Thomas Christopher’s ‘Introvex’ and ‘Beast #5’. ‘Introvex’ is a straight-up pumping euro techno belter with twisted stabs and a distorted, vocoded vocal. ‘Beast #5’ is a darker, more sinister track, which cleverly uses a female orgasm throughout the track as one of the main stabs.
Thomas Christopher is resident at Vagisness and Vayge - the West’s premier techno night(s) www.ilovevag.com. Guests [to name but a few] have included: Green Velvet, Dave Clarke, Umek, Valentino Kanzyani, Marco Bailey, Misjah and Ben Sims. His consistently solid performances alongside such guests have gained him a reputation as one of the UK techno scene's brightest stars. Playing on three decks his technical ability, versatility and experience are complimented only by his impeccable taste and programming! Understanding a dance floor has aided the production effort, as has his natural aptitude for music.
Steve is a versatile studio engineer and producer and together with Thomas is co-owner of the TCP label. Steve has been producing electronic music for six years. In this time he has worked with and engineered for various producers and DJ’s based in the South West. Recently he has been doing exclusive CDJ sets of his own and TCP material, to great response. He is also busy working on a live set, which should see fruition in early 2006.
The follow up release (TCP003) is the debut solo EP from Steve Payne; the 4-track EP will feature ‘Lexa’ and ‘Stereo Mate’ with a remix of each from highly respected producers. Needless to say - expect more quality from this UK label.
